3. Our Supply Chains

Our supply chains include:

  • Office supplies and facilities: Equipment and services for our office
  • Staffing and recruitment: Agencies we engage for our own hiring

We assess our supply chains for potential modern slavery risks and work with suppliers who share our commitment to ethical practices.

4. Relevant Policies

We have the following policies in place to address modern slavery:

Anti-Slavery Policy

Sets out our zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and outlines the responsibilities of all employees and contractors.

Whistleblowing Policy

Encourages employees to report any concerns about suspected modern slavery without fear of retaliation.

Supplier Code of Conduct

Sets out our expectations for suppliers regarding ethical practices, including prohibition of modern slavery.

Recruitment Policy

Ensures all our own employees are recruited legally and ethically, with right-to-work checks conducted for all staff.

Equal Opportunities Policy

Reinforces our commitment to fair treatment of all workers and prohibits discrimination of any kind.

5. Due Diligence Processes

We undertake the following due diligence to prevent modern slavery:

  • Screening all new suppliers against modern slavery risk indicators
  • Including anti-slavery clauses in all supplier contracts
  • Requiring major suppliers to confirm their compliance with the Modern Slavery Act
  • Conducting periodic reviews of high-risk suppliers
  • Verifying the right to work for all our employees and contractors
  • Monitoring our platform for job advertisements that may indicate exploitative practices

6. Risk Assessment

We have assessed our business and supply chains and identified the following risk areas:

Risk Area Risk Level Mitigation
Job advertisements on our platform Medium Automated and manual review of job ads; reporting mechanism for users; zero-tolerance for suspicious ads
Technology supply chain Low Working with reputable providers; contractual requirements; periodic reviews
Cleaning and facilities services Low-Medium Using accredited providers; checking worker welfare; contract requirements
Temporary staffing for events Low-Medium Using reputable agencies; checking worker treatment; payment verification

7. Training and Awareness

We provide training to relevant employees to ensure they understand:

  • The principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015
  • How to identify potential modern slavery in our supply chains
  • How to recognise suspicious job advertisements on our platform
  • How to report concerns through appropriate channels
  • Our policies and procedures regarding modern slavery

All new employees receive training on our ethical standards and reporting mechanisms as part of their induction. Refresher training is provided annually.

8. Monitoring Job Advertisements

As a recruitment platform, we have a particular responsibility to ensure that job advertisements on our site do not facilitate modern slavery. We:

  • Use automated systems to flag suspicious job ads
  • Have trained moderators review flagged content
  • Provide clear reporting mechanisms for users
  • Remove any job ads that appear to involve exploitative practices
  • Report suspected modern slavery to the appropriate authorities
  • Verify employer identities to reduce anonymous postings

In the last financial year, we reviewed over 1,500 flagged job advertisements and removed 127 that raised concerns about worker exploitation or unethical practices.

9. Measuring Effectiveness

We use the following key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of our efforts:

  • Number of suspicious job ads flagged and removed
  • Number of supplier audits conducted
  • Percentage of suppliers who have confirmed compliance with anti-slavery requirements
  • Number of employees trained on modern slavery
  • Number of modern slavery concerns reported through our whistleblowing channels

We review these metrics quarterly and use them to improve our processes.
